Here is a list of some of our local (Kitchener-Waterloo region) sources for assistance for both people feeling suicidal along with the people who are involved in their lives.
Please remember if you or someone you know is feeling suicidal that the emergency department at the hospital is the place to go to immediately.
Grand River Hospital 835 King Street West has several child and adolescent mental health services, including an urgent response clinic (Monday to Friday) and an inpatient unit.
There is a relatively new merger of services between Waterloo-Wellington-Dufferin regions. It is available 24 hours a day. 1-844-737-3247 (1-844-HERE247). You can access information and help for addictions, mental health and crisis services.

If you are feeling suicidal but do not have an immediate plan, seek counselling. Your family doctor is a good place to start or if you do not have a family doctor, go to a walk-in clinic. It is important to seek help.
